So it’s come to this: Pens-Caps to decide fate of the world

You know what’s awesome? Game 7’s. You know what’s not awesome? Your team being in a game 7. We’ve needed a drink since about 7 pm yesterday, right around the time we woke up from the heartbreak of game 6.

If you haven’t watched any of this series, you have missed TNT levels of drama. We can’t implore you enough that you have to watch tonight. Though, based on our simulation via NHL ’94, the Penguins will win 16 – 7. At least we know it will be high scoring.

Your humble editor will be watching from a bar in Cleveland. Luckily, the city is 90% Steeler fans, so I’m pretty confident in finding a few Penguin supporters.

7pm on Versus.

Let’s kick the tires and light the fires! WOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

LET’S GO PENS!

  1. The Northerner Says:

Who did you piss off to be sent to Cleveland?

  2. C Gally Says:

Punishment for attempted murder. A visit to Cleveland is the mandatory minimum.

  3. The Northerner Says:

Couldn’t finish the job? What a failure. Kinda like the Penguins… OOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH!!

No really, I hope they win. I would like to see a Pens Bruins series. This would mean the Bruins would also have to win.

  4. C Gally Says:

No, I tried to kill your manhood, but it was already dead when I got there.

    /makes no sense

A Pens Bruins series could make this site explode… if I thought you could have named 10 Bruins back in January.

  5. The Northerner Says:

You’re funny. Name 10 Pirates last week. Not so easy is it? And they have American names. Dick.

  6. C Gally Says:

Actually, it would have been easier last week. I was still paying attention before we lost our 12th out of 13 games.

    Adam Laroche
    Andy Laroche
    Nyger Morgan
    Jack Wilson
    Doumit
    Zach Duke
    McClouth
    Sanchez

I got to 8, not bad I’d say. It is the Pirates, after all.

  7. The Northerner Says:

Haha. How sad. And I would say you really only got 6. The Laroche twins count as one because, come on. And you can throw out “Sanchez” in regards to any team and you would have a 75% chance of being right.

  8. C Gally Says:

I differentiated between the two Laroche’s. Though, their stats add up to one average player…

And Freddie Sanchez was the batting champ two years ago. When Bay and Xavier Nady were on the team. It’s nice to know we never had the pieces to put a winning team together.

  9. The Northerner Says:

Just think, when the season comes in which you get 82 wins, it will be all that sweeter given the years and years of pain. Think positive.
